Analysis of thin layers
To ensure quality respectively durability of different products, increasingly a final coating of polymers is applied. An even layer thickness, prevention of volatile harmful substances and meeting required mechanical characteristics cannot be assured without inspections during the manufacturing process. Often the surface of the product is structured and classical methods of thickness measurement (e.g. interferometric methods) fail therefore. The devices uniSPEC2.2S and uniSPEC2.2P with the probes PSP-D and PPA permit the identification of layer composition and the determination of layer thickness. For quality control in a process the multiplexed spectrometer uniSPEC2.2MPL with probe line PMa can be used.
